Libraries
Also the libraries in Winterthur welcome you during summer holydays. In the Central Library there are several activities for children an youth but you are also welcome just to spend time, read, meet oder play Mario Kart on the big screen.

For Refugees
The city of Winterthur offers a variety of things for the upcoming summer vacations.
For 25.- you can buy a ZVV-Ferienpass. With this pass you can use the public transport in the whole canton of Zurich as well as using all communal outdoor pools for free. The passes are sold at the ticket point of sales at the trainstation as well as Migros & Coop. Just hand over the recipe for the pass to your responsible advisor at the asylum department of the city of Winterthur and you can discover Zurich all summer long for free!
The courses of the sports umbrella association of Winterthur are free as well during the summer vacation. During the sign-up process just add under „Kommentare“ that you’re a refugee.
The „Ferienplausch“-program offers a variety of activities as well. The offers are limited to one course per person. If you’re interested in one of those courses, get in touch with your local youth workers or get in contact with the team of the Jugendinfo.
